What sort of outdoor team building options are available?

Scarlett Entertainment & Events have a variety of outdoor team building options, ranging from full-on sport activities like our Total Wipeout UK and Stand Up Paddleboard lessons to group tours, or if you’re looking for an interactive activity that will test some skills our Ultimate City Challenge is a unique way to discover and explore a new location! We can book outdoor sporting activities, or giant games and workshops to suit your brief, just let us know what you have in mind. 

We have an outdoor space available, can we use this?

Of course! The bigger the space the better, and depending on the chosen activity more space may still be needed or activities altered to suit the space. Almost all of our off-site activities are flexible to suit your needs and requirements, just let our entertainment coordinators know what size and type of space you have when you enquire!

What if there is bad weather?

Where possible we will always continue with our plans, but sometimes it’s safer not to continue, in some cases activities could be moved indoors or rearranged for a different date. If you are worried about the weather and want to avoid the threat of a rainy day, why not have a look at our fantastic Indoor Team Building options.

What will my team get out of an outdoor team bonding activity?

Taking your staff away or organising an outdoor team building activity for your group of friends will give everyone involved a break from their office surroundings or normal day to day environment. A new location helps to motivate, inspire and drive staff, giving them the chance to test, develop and strengthen skills. 

An away day is a great opportunity for guests and colleagues to get to know one another, and create happy memories, making it a great rewards trip for high-performing staff, whilst focusing on specific skills. Different activities and workshops will focus on different skills, but most will feature communication, time management, interpersonal skills, problem-solving, leadership, collaboration, adaptability and creativity. If you would like an activity that features a particular skill let us know and we can propose a variety of options for you to choose from. 

Are all of your outdoor team building activities sporty?

Definitely not! Whilst an outdoor team building activity is a great opportunity to try out a new sport, participants don’t need to be gym fanatics. Our Soap Box Derby and our Graffiti Workshops, Or our Canal Treasure Hunt are great options that are perfect for all abilities.

What size groups can take part?

Our varied range of external team building activities can cater to a variety of sized groups, normally starting from groups of 10 to 100 or more, let our event coordinators know your requirements and they can adapt workshops and activities to suit!

Is there a lot of set-up required for outdoor activities?

Depending on the activity, some set up will be required, whether it’s simply table and chairs for your group, or if you’re taking part in our Total Wipe Out Challenge or Sports Day Challenges, which requires a bigger set-up, the activity coordinators will set up and pack up for you. If you are required to assist our events team will let you know what will be required upon enquiry.

Will I have to do a risk assessment for an outdoor team building activity?

This is entirely dependent on the activity and workshop taking place; usually there will be an already completed risk assessment for the activity and depending on the location/venue a revised risk assessment or health and safety plan may be required. If you are booking your venue through Scarlett Entertainment & Events we can do this for you, alternatively, a site visit can be arranged if needed. Any specific requirements will be outlined prior to booking confirmation and any exact conditions will be stated on the individual activity pages. 

Will I need to provide anything?

This is also dependent on the off-site team-building activity, the majority of the time all activities will come fully inclusive of materials and supplies, but may require the venue to provide tables/chairs, power or workspaces. If you or your venue aren't able to provide the necessary requirements, let one of our friendly team know and they can assist in sourcing and booking any furniture or equipment required!

Can you brand any of the outdoor workshops or games with our company colours or logo?

Some workshops have the opportunity to be branded, with your guests or staff creating their own bespoke versions! Just let one of our event team members know your preferences and requirements when enquiring and we can let you know what options and activities are most suited.

Can you create or adapt any workshops or games to suit our company ethos, or even test or teach our employees knowledge of our history, aims and values? 

Absolutely! Some of our unique quizzes and treasure hunts can be completely adapted, with questions based on your company history, ethos and brand knowledge, these can be as fun or serious as you like! The software on our Corporate Games London can also be edited to feature your branding throughout, ensuring a completely unique experience for your participants. Alternatively, our Film Making Challenge is a great option to create promotional material for your company and brand, whilst developing staffs communication, leadership, delegation, time management, decision making and resourcefulness as teams are given limited props, time and material to create a film!

Are there any health and safety concerns about outdoor, sporty or active activities or workshops?

All of our external activities and workshops are tried and tested and run by trained professionals, equipment is regularly tested and risk assessments are always carried out when required. Where needed hygiene and safety certificates are also provided; if you have any concerns talk to one of our event coordinators who can do any necessary checks. 

What is required as a participant of an outdoor team-building activity?

This is also very dependent on the chosen activity, but as long as participants have plenty of energy, motivation and eagerness to get involved let us look after everything else!

How long do the workshops and activities last?

We have several short workshops that last a few hours or an entire morning/afternoon or even evening. Alternatively, we have some great full-day options that will keep your guests entertained. If you are looking for some external team bonding activities that fulfil a certain amount of time many of our activities and workshops can be arranged to suit your schedule, just let our staff know when enquiring! 

Can lunch be included in our off-site team-building booking?

Of course! Just let us know when you enquire along with numbers and dietary requirements and we can suggest some delicious menus and catering solutions to suit the venue and schedule.

My company have done a lot of outdoor team building activities, do you have any really unique options that they won’t have done before?
